Aseambankers Malaysia Berhad, on behalf of the Board of Directors of Kia Lim ("Board"), wishes to announce that the Company proposes to renew shareholders' mandate for recurrent related party transactions ("RRPT") of a revenue or trading nature ("Proposed Renewal Of Shareholders' Mandate").
Pursuant to Chapter 10.09 of the listing requirements of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange ("KLSE Listing Requirements") on RRPT, the Board proposes to seek shareholders' approval for the Proposed Renewal Of Shareholders' Mandate at the forthcoming shareholders' meeting of the Company.
The Proposed Renewal Of Shareholders' Mandate is sought as the existing shareholders' mandate, which was approved at Kia Lim's Extraordinary General Meeting held on 13 June 2002, will lapse at the conclusion of the forthcoming Annual General Meeting ("AGM"). As such, the Proposed Renewal Of Shareholders' Mandate, if approved, will take effect from the date of passing of the relevant resolution at the Company's forthcoming shareholders' meeting to be convened until the next AGM in 2004.
A Circular to Shareholders setting out the details of the Proposed Renewal Of Shareholders' Mandate and the resolution pertaining thereto will be despatched to the shareholders of the Company in due course and within the prescribed time pursuant to the KLSE Listing Requirements.
